"Elsie" (11 x 14 oil on canvas)
When I saw Jersey was the location for the VPO, my first thought was Jersey cows. It is a small breed known for the high butter fat content of its milk. "Elsie" is a reference Elsie the Borden milk here in the US. I used two reference photo for this painting.

I liked the farm scene but the light was poor. I found some cows with better light and thought I could bring up the light on the farm buildings. The painting is almost done, but needs some work on the fields and hedge.
I just stopped by from the paintout for a look around, and am really liking your work. Nice Jersey painting. It all went together beautifully.
